1. My cousin and her son are visiting from Portland for a long weekend, I haven’t seen wither of them since December when I left Oregon. The first thing my nephew said to me after giving me a huge hug and kiss…
"Guess what auntie Chelsea? I like Doctor Who now!"
Because when I was living in Portland last fall was when I really got into Doctor Who. And I babysat my nephew quite often and would tell him stories about the funny mad man traveling the universe(s) in his blue box spaceship. Oh and he proceeded to draw me a picture of he and I and the clockwork men from The Girl in the Fireplace.
Is my nephew not totally awesome?
2. I’m going back to school on Monday. It’ll be my first time back on campus in about 4 years, I’m kind of terrified. (Also, I couldn’t get into the ONE class I need and am therefore waitlisted and have to petition the class on Monday and pray that I get a spot) But I noticed that the college theater is holding auditions for a play, and I kind of really want to give it a shot. I’ve taken a few acting/theater classes just for giggles (and always gotten A’s), but I’ve never actually auditioned for anything in my life. So I don’t even know how you’re supposed to do it. The play is "The Incredible Murder of Cardinal Tosca" which is a Sherlock Holmes mystery. There are only two female characters, Mrs. Hudson, and a woman, Violet, one of the male characters sisters, both are pretty minor.
So, should I give it a shot?
